The New Museum in Lüneburg. Three architectural volumes by Heidenreich & Springer Architekten set against each other, creating a quiet green space along Ilmenau river. The concept: Meeting the strictness of the architecture with soft landscape: natural riparian zones with historically important wall fragments. An almost romantic picturesque. And oscillating forms of the new landscape design to formally match. The speciality: Involving and dramatizing the existing maple groups. As mediators between nature and culture.
