A design proposal is sought for the courtyards of a listed, former company housing that will ensure the character of the area and at the same time make contemporary and future-oriented proposals. The courtyard 2.0 serves as a pilot project for later transfer to the other residential courtyards. Concept: A green, communal center in the courtyards, framed by a area for movement and functions. Design of a strict structure, broken up by individual deciduous trees and freely distributed offers of use. Suggested hedge compartments cite the historic tenant gardens and structure the space. Open meadows and protected areas for free play by the residents. Modular, restrained furnishing elements and new community boxes are being tested as identity providers for the entire quarter. As an additional unique feature of a courtyard, an extraordinary play element is set. Is the courtyard 2.0 the one with the giant red swing?
