Two daycare centres in rural Edermünde. Situated at the diffuse interface between residential areas and open farmland. One in Besse. One in Grifte. The idea: twin gardens, organised in a similar way and oriented towards the agricultural structure of the landscape. Rural day-care centre gardens. Giving identity: the colours. The ‘Rote Besse’ combined with the ‘Grüne Grifte’. Both with plenty of meadow areas. In the centre: the multifunctional play area. As the spatial-social heart of the facilities. With specific furniture ensembles made of wood, quoting rural models. As informal play incentives. And as an invitation for children and carers to come together.
